Internet browsers are vulnerable and that annoys me no end. It's like they have minds of their own, and those are the minds of children running in front of a car. You can't relax even for a minute when browsing the Web because every second your browser might crash, or get a toolbar you don't need or any unwanted add-ons for that matter, or get annoying pop-up ads, etc. And if that happens, you will have to painstakingly remove this hazardous code or suffer faked search results, data leaks and poor speed.
Luckily, most antivirus developers know about the pains of an average Internet users. That's why protective software has browser functionality, and now specialized programs are being released to deal with browser infections. Avast Browser Cleanup is one of those. This little program installs quickly, demands very little and does a wonderful job of restoring your browser to its original clean state. When launched, it can scan your system and identify the issues each of your browsers has. Then you have several ways to improve the situation: remove all add-ons and extensions you have for a browser or select only those suspicious ones you spot; change your search engine and homepage that were usurped by malware; restore additional settings to default. The results will become apparent right away, with speed and comfort returning to your browser after it's been "renovated" in such a fashion. more
